Panasonic Industry Demo Kit

By integrating Wirepas Massive 2.4 GHz mesh networking into Panasonic Industry’s PAN1780 module, Panasonic Industry is closing the gap between an easy-to-use connectivity software and a scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient IoT solution.

The PAN1780 Wirepas Mesh Demo Kit comes as a ready-to-use evaluation tool based on the PAN1780’s high-quality hardware platform in combination the Wirepas Wireless Mesh connectivity stack and Symbiotech's easy to use demo application.

The kit contains:

• 4x PAN1780 pre-flashed Sensor Boards as Mesh Nodes
• 1x PAN1780 Sink as Gateway
• 4x Panasonic CR2032 Batteries for battery operated operation

The four IoT sensor boards from the Panasonic Industry Demo Kit are showcased on the left side of the application.

Sensor boards are connected wirelessly via Wirepas Massive and you can visualise the network topology inside the tool. Another PAN1780 acts as a gateway, being connected via USB to a laptop running the demo application.

The functions available for each device include:
• Seeing the time of the last button press, to get a feel for the uplink latency through the network
• A toggle for the LED on the demo board, to get a feel for the downlink latency through the network
• A history of temperature readings, to test the robustness of consistent data reporting
• The battery state to monitor power consumption
